Eschew Specious Plants When Planning a Garden Wedding

by Jerry Blackburn

The one time you do not want to see any specious flowers or plants is during a garden wedding. Even as it is true that wedding planners are notorious for their use of these fake flora in order to bring to the forefront a certain mood or ambiance, within the confines of a beautiful garden wedding, these kinds of decorations should be avoided.

At the very heart of a nature setting is of course the purity of the elements as well as the purity of the emotions it evokes. Unadulterated love is being celebrated at this kind of outdoor marriage celebration and the clean air, the scents of the flowers, and the gentle rustling of the breeze in the tree tops makes for the ideal backdrop to this kind of occasion.

As a wedding planner you wish to ensure to preserve the integrity of the nature theme while at the same time working within the confines of the budget concerns your client couple may have as well as the available locations. Another thing to consider when planning a garden wedding is of course the weather. While many understand that a November garden wedding is ill advised ? no matter where in the country you reside ? because of the possibility of inclement weather, it is also true that with a bit finesse you will be able to present the kind of venue to your clients that comes close to the garden without actually being located out of doors.

Make yourself aware of local venues related to horticulture. These may include private rooftop gardens, large greenhouses, municipal conservatories, an enclosed portion of an arboretum, and a host of other locales where the outdoors are conveniently moved inside. Of course, if the weather cooperates, then the perfect nature themed wedding will be the garden celebration during the late morning or early evening hours when the sunlight is soft and the flowers are opened.

If you are outdoors, ensure that a rented canopy or tent is at hand and may be unrolled within seconds to cover the bridal party and the guests in case of a rainstorm. Furthermore, the wise wedding planner knows the local fauna as well as flora, and will carry ant spray, wasp repellent and also mosquito candles as a matter of necessity during such weddings.

Integrate the color scheme of the venue where the nuptials are being held and ensure that the flowers you will see during the ceremony may have their likenesses found on the cake as well. Some couples may wish to incorporate animals into their themed wedding and while this may make for a stunning ambiance it is wise to discourage this notion. Children present may seek to interact with the animals in ways that are not appropriate and if the reception is to take place in the same venue, the possibility of the animals ingesting food they are not permitted to eat is great. It is best to rely on just flora and other props for ambiance.

Budget Planning for Your Wedding

by Dreamscapes Video

Money is the number one thing that married couples fight about. But do you realize that the tension surrounding money begins long before the happy couple say ‘I do?’ Wedding costs can rapidly escalate out of control which is why it’s so important to begin the planning by devising a realistic budget. And once you’ve got the numbers crunched, it’s equally important that you both stick to the budget.

And while a wedding budget doesn’t sound all that glamorous, it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. In fact, planning your wedding without a budget is almost guaranteed to land you into serious financial debt. What’s the key to success? As it will be throughout your marriage, open, honest, two-way communication is an absolute must.

Each person needs to be honest about how they envision the day. Many women assume that men don’t care about the planning but that isn’t really true. It is, after all, a big life-change for the man too, and he has a family of his own to please.

Once the excitement of the engagement wears off, go somewhere quiet and talk about what’s important to each of you in regards to your wedding day. Listening to your partner’s opinion is as important as talking so be sure to do both. Then, make a list of what you both want (to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage, lobster, renaissance theme, color scheme, etc.) and what are absolute necessities (photographer and videographer, caterer, flowers, rings, etc…). You’re going to use this information when it’s time to allocate your budget.

Once you both have an idea of what’s important, it’s time to crunch the numbers. You’ve got to determine how much money is available now (for example, in savings accounts, stocks/bonds, real estate, trust funds), how much you’ll have to commit to saving from your regular income streams, and how much you can realistically expect others to kick in. Depending on how far out the actual wedding date is you may want to consider opening a higher-interest bearing account for the money so that it can earn interest.

Don’t make unrealistic demands on others to cover your wedding expenses. Whatever is offered should be accepted graciously. Anger or disappointment is not a very mature way to handle the situation.

Once you know how much you have and how much is coming in toward expenses, a total amount can be concluded. Draw up a list of all the wedding expenses and decide on a dollar amount or percentage of the total you would like to spend on each item. This will guide you as you begin to shop around. Of course, if you want to exceed the budgeted amount, money from another item on the list needs to be decreased in order to keep the budget balanced. Since the wedding budget is so important, if you find it easiest to use budgeting software and worksheets, by all means use whatever tools are necessary to keep organized and on track.

A Platinum Wedding Ring Is For Life

by Kim Allarie

Platinum isn’t just a precious metal. It’s the heart and soul of an exquisite wedding ring. Platinum wedding rings are often more costly than a wedding band crafted from white gold, even though they look very much alike. Frequently, they are nearly double the price. However, there are some excellent reasons for the price difference.

Platinum has an exceptional ability to hold its shape. It is concentrated and can maintain its symmetry even with the daily stresses that a wedding ring frequently undergoes. It also resists scratches and nicks, a regular worry. But because it’s such a rare metal, it’s much more expensive than the alternatives.

However, there could be a reason to get a platinum wedding ring that trumps all the rest: platinum is sensational in its appearance.

As attractive as white gold rings are, the hue is attained by blending gold with white alloys like palladium or, in less expensive rings, nickel. Also, the color is sometimes attained through applying a layer of rhodium. However, this wears away with time and must be refinished.

On the other hand, a platinum ring is almost completely pure metal. Most are 90 to 95 percent pure, so a platinum ring has more substance and is brighter, with an exceptional luster that cannot be replicated by any other alloy. It’s a first-class material, even in a category of jewelry that boasts a number of precious metals like silver and gold.

These two facets of platinum – its practicality and its astonishing good looks – open the door to numerous design alternatives.

Platinum has been a component of wedding rings for thousands of years. It was employed by the ancient Egyptians who drawn to its magnificence. Artisans of South America utilized “little silver”, as it was called, in numerous decorations. When Louis XVI caught on to this precious metal in the 18th century, its place of honor in contemporary times was secured.

Modern society is the fortunate recipient of these historical trends, because platinum wedding rings now encompass a vast range of designs.

Even an ordinary wedding ring crafted from platinum is a stylish piece of jewelry. It requires nothing but itself to offer an elegance that anybody could wear with pride. However, it can also be embellished in countless ways.

An understated line of sapphires will transform a platinum wedding ring into a cherished possession that can be passed on for generations to come. A square-cut diamond might be the centerpiece of a design that elevates an already splendid piece to fresh heights. Even a ring without any gems, whose sole decorations are enchanting silver channels or palladium facets, could effortlessly radiate tremendous style and sophistication.

A high quality platinum wedding band will be around 900-950Pt, an indication that it’s 90 to 95 percent pure. But the other 5 to 10 percent is certainly not base metal. It’s usually comprised of a mix of osmium, iridium, and similar alloys that enhance the stunning good looks of these exquisite items of jewelry.

Choose a platinum wedding ring and you will be pleased with your selection forever. And your descendents will be thankful for your discernment as well.

Bride to be make-up essentials:

by Ariane Poole

Your make-up doesn’t need to be heavier than usual for the photos. You just need the right techniques and the right products to look picture best.

Foundation: – Primer is a must. The right primer will keep your make-up on longer, your face shine free and even diminish the appearance of fine lines and large pores. – Even if you don’t wear a foundation it’s a good idea to use a light weight one to even single your complexion, photos and videos tend to show every little thing. The Mineral Tint Foundation is light weight and feels like a second skin. – Don’t be tempted to apply a darker foundation to get a healthy glow it will look awful, opt for an all over false tan instead.

Concealer: – The Concealer Palette is a must!! for dark circles or blemishes apply after foundation or tinted moisturiser for the appropriate results.

Powder: – In photos too much shine looks sweaty, even if you want a dewy look keep your t-zone mat. Pokingly sweep a little Universal Yellow Powder over your t-zone.

Eyes: – Waterproof mascara is a must!!! what ever the situation. – Curl your lashes. This will instantly open up yours eyes and make them appear larger. The Heated Eye Lash Curl works wonderfully on even the shortest/straightest lashes.

- Apply an eye base like the Crystal Taupe Eye Shine to keep eye shadow looking perfect. – Eyes need definition so run Gel Liner in the shade you love along the base of the top lashes and half way along the base of the lower lashes.

Cheeks: – Try a cream or cream to powder blusher for a healthy flush of colour. Velvet Blush in Whisper or Sunset will do just that. – For a long lasting effect try layering a cream and a powder blusher in the same colour. The Blush 4 All Seasons cream blush glides on no doubt and its novel formula means that when you sweep Zen or Rose Glow powder blush over the cream you will manage a stunning long lasting blush.

Lips: – apply a lip base initially to keep lipstick or gloss on longer and to help prevent feathering. Use the Natural Lip Pencil and any of the Lip Shines. Or fill lips in with the liner end of the Lip & Liner Duo then add colour from the unique end of the duo for long lasting lushes lips.

Body: – Try a scented body lotion mixed with either the Shimmer Tint in Bronze or the Skin Illuminator in Champagne to give your body a stunning red carpet sheen.
